The Community Programs Coordinator oversees the development, implementation, evaluation, and ongoing operations of educational community partnership and outreach programs based at the main Mote Marine Laboratory campus in Sarasota and at Mote field stations. Duties are concentrated on development and implementation of programs aimed at increasing the involvement and long-term retention of underserved and underrepresented community members engaged with STEM. Responsibilities include: teaching and program implementation, program and curriculum content development, and relationship development with internal and external partners.
The Community Programs Coordinator requires strong science content knowledge, particularly marine science. This candidate will possess outstanding communication skills, poise, and confidence, skilled in written and oral communication.
