POSITION SUMMARY:

Communicate with residents, families, prospects, internal staff and outside agencies; conduct tours, be a resource to families and prospects, complete and maintain admission records and documents; and work with referral agencies, organizations and institutions. Through all relationships, represent LifeWell Senior Living professionally to achieve move-ins and to contribute to occupancy goals.

The person holding this position is delegated the responsibility for carrying out the assigned duties and responsibilities in accordance with current existing federal and state regulations and established company policies and procedures.

POSITION RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Conduct tours of the community for potential residents, families, outside community, and representatives from referral agencies and other professional organizations.
  • Attend and participate in in-service educational programs, particularly those that relate to the psychosocial needs of seniors, community resources, admission requirements, and our sales programs.
  • Learn and practice LifeWell’s CAPS Sales Model program.
  • Participate in lead management, keeping prompt follow up to all phone calls, emails, and in-person tours. Assist in taking steps to advance and close sales.
  • Conduct walkthroughs of the community, ensuring the models, discovery areas, and other tour paths are tour ready before scheduled tours arrive.
  • Prior to new resident moving in, conduct walkthrough of the suite to ensure it is in good condition by working with Plant Operations and Housekeeping department.
  • Provide consistent new resident welcome and orientation practices, including welcome baskets, Resident Champions introductions, etc.
  • Communicate to all departments all necessary information on new residents.
  • Schedule move ins and move outs at appropriate times to avoid conflict with scheduled activities (meal times, etc.)
  • Assist Community Relations Director in planning and implementing marketing events.
  • Actively work with the CRD, Health and Wellness Director, and Executive Director to retain all residents and maintain budgeted occupancy.
  • Establish and maintain positive community-at-large brand awareness.
  • Ensure Market Minder database is up to date and accurate. Complete input of all required information (leads and activity) timely and accurately.
  • Assist with the processing of all required information necessary to complete a successful move in, as requested.
  • Maintain professional confidentiality.
  • Other duties as assigned by supervisor.

SPECIFIC KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, LICENSES, CERTIFICATIONS, ETC:

  • Must be at least eighteen (18) years of age
  • Must have a high school diploma or equivalent. At least two years of college preferred
  • Experience in the Senior Housing Industry preferred
  • Must have valid driver’s license, and vehicle
  • Must be able to travel in geographic area
  • Must be able to occasionally travel overnight
  • Able to safely operate standard household equipment (dishwasher, iron, vacuum, washer, dryer)
  • Able to operate a personal computer and be proficient in MS Office programs (Word, Excel, etc.)
  • Able to operate standard office equipment, including fax machine, copier, telephone, etc.
  • Knowledge of and/or ability to learn the theory and practice of assisted living and dementia care
  • Able to work with seniors and patiently interact with cognitively impaired individuals
  • Able to be flexible, adapt and respond to change, make decisions in stressful situations and prioritize tasks and projects.
  • Able to process information and apply common sense understanding to follow and carry out written or oral instructions.
  • Able to analyze, solve and respond to problems or concerns.
  • Able to count and perform moderately complex math problems
  • Able to read, write and speak the English language and to interact and communicate effectively with employees, supervisors, physicians, health care professionals, residents, and their families
  • Must be highly motivated and able to work independently
  • Able to obtain and maintain valid first aid certification
  • Able to obtain and maintain valid Food Handler’s certification, as needed
  • Be mobile and able to perform the physical requirements of the job. Good physical health, verified by a health screening, including a chest x-ray or an intradermal test result not more than 6 months prior or seven (7) days after employment
