Position Summary: This position performs highly professional duties related to consulting and training existing and start-up businesses within Hillsborough County The principle duties of the position include providing business consulting to small, minority, women and veteran owned businesses to help start, grow or expand a business in a variety of areas including business planning, strategic planning, marketing, financial management, human resources and operations management. Conduct business related workshops on a variety of topics to include starting a business, financing a business, marketing, and other workshops as developed to service the targeted business population. Conduct a detailed written assessment of existing businesses and make recommendations for improvements. Perform financial analysis and market program benefits throughout the footprint.
Qualifications:
Associate’s Degree from an accredited college or university; and One year of experience related to business development; Or an equivalent combination of education, training and experience that would reasonably be expected to provide the job-related competencies.
Ideal Candidate Profile
Minimum three years of experience related to business development; Direct small business consulting,
business ownership, and a Master’s degree a plus.
Salary: $35,838.40 – $56,888.00 annually
