LITIGATION PARALEGAL
We are a prominent, AV-rated Tampa firm in need of a Litigation Paralegal to become part of our extremely busy commercial litigation practice.

ADMINISTRATIVE:
· Maintaining an orderly work flow in your area of responsibility.
· Setting priorities to accomplish the attorney(s) work in a timely manner.
· Communication with attorney(s), paralegals and legal assistants regarding case status
- Prepare and input daily time into timeslips.
- Familiarity with Civil Rules or Procedure and Local Rules of Courts
· Other duties, as assigned.
LITIGATION:
- Prepare pleadings and public records requests as directed by Attorneys
- E-file pleadings and serve on all parties after preparation. (If deposition Notice, forward to court reporter and copy legal assistant assigned to file)
- Send out subpoenas to process servers for documents or depositions. If depositions, ensure direction given to process server for witness fee check to be included
- Preparation of documents to be used as exhibits for depositions
- Maintain index of deposition exhibits
- Download and save production received.
- Maintain spreadsheet of discovery sent and received w/bates numbers, including notices of production non-party subpoenas and public records requests.
- Maintain discovery in ESI database (ViewPoint)
· Other duties, as assigned.
TRIAL RESPONSIBILITIES
- Calendar trial dates and deadlines.
- Prepare trial deadline charts and remind attorneys of deadlines.
- Ensure expert witnesses are aware of trial dates
- Prepare Witness List
- Prepare Exhibit List and compile exhibits
- Prepare Exhibit Notebooks for attorneys
- Communication with Trial presentation company for use of videos with deposition designations and trial exhibits
- Prepare Trial Subpoenas and send for service
- Review of Court Procedures for submission of trial exhibits, technology in court room or any other matters outlined in the court’s trial order
