Compliance Analyst needed for 6 months (with possibility of further extension) for financial/banking industry in the Sabal Park area of Tampa, FL.
Must have skill-set:
The successful candidates will possess in depth knowledge of the mortgage application process and settlement practices, particularly the disclosure requirements, practices and prohibitions covered by RESPA.
This position is primary located in Sable Park, FL travel will be reimbursed.
Candidates must have experience:

Job Description:
Responsibilities:
• Reviewing mortgage loans for compliance with the Good Faith Estimate (GFE) and Housing and Urban Development Settlement Statement (HUD-1) requirements of RESPA.
• Remediation of findings relating to RESPA tolerance errors including possible re-disclosure and calculation of any necessary reimbursements
• Making recommendations for process improvements going forward to prevent recurrence of compliance errors
Summary:
Process Engagement involving the review of approximately 300,000 mortgage loans dating back to 1/1/10 for compliance with the Good Faith Estimate (GFE) and Housing and Urban Development Settlement Statement (HUD-1) requirements of RESPA including remediation of findings relating to RESPA tolerance errors and possible re-disclosure and calculation of any necessary reimbursements. We will make recommendations for process improvements going forward to prevent recurrence of compliance errors. We will utilize all of our available resources and require additional assistance to complete the project in the client’s time frame. The successful candidates will possess in depth knowledge of the mortgage application process and settlement practices, particularly the disclosure requirements, practices and prohibitions covered by RESPA. The work will be performed at the client site in Texas, however, some remote work may be possible
