REPORTS TO: Vice President of Property Management
JOB DESCRIPTION:
The Compliance Manager supports both the Operational and Leasing side of CHAF, Inc. as determined by management. Acts as liaison with clients and monitoring agencies regarding affordable compliance operations and regulations to ensure program compliance.
This position, at the discretion of management, may be assigned other duties as needed which are not listed in this job description. This position requires experience as a Compliance Manager with Tax Credit, SHIP, HOME, etc. for 555 units within the CHAF portfolio.
MAJOR RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Oversee, maintains and verifies tenant information as stored in Tenant Management Software and audits files/records for conformance to LURA and Housing guideline standards
- Provide support via phone, email or in person to Compliance Specialist and Property Managers with regards to correct policies and procedures of program certification, as well as outstanding compliance issues
- Oversee, manage and prepare for annual Compliance Audits
- Follow up on tenant file audit findings to ensure compliance and report corrections as required
- Final review of recertification’s and move in files for adherence to compliance standards
- Assist in training Property Managers when management deems necessary
- Oversee and train, as needed, personnel on monthly Program Reports
- Oversee, review and update as needed the Affirmative Fair Housing Marketing Plans
- Provides policy and procedures update/clarification on compliance issues
- Uphold Contemporary Housing’s service culture in all forms of communication or interactions to create a positive and productive work environment. (Friendly, helpful, knowledgeable, respectful and responsive).
- Special projects as assigned by management
- Answers incoming calls and provide assistance as needed
QUALIFICATIONS
- 3 year’s experience in affordable housing (HUD, HOME, SHIP, NSP, HTF, LIHTC, and Public Housing)
- Excellent computer, oral and written communication skills
- Understanding of property management software
- Working proficiency in Microsoft office software (Excel, Word, Outlook)
- Prior experience in affordable housing apartment communities required
- Able to multi task and organize work/information
Job Type: Full-time
Salary: $40,000.00 to $45,000.00 /year
