Seeking a Compliance Officer and Contract Administrator (one joint position) for a property management company in Tampa, Florida.
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Participate in the updating of corporate policies and procedures to maintain compliance with the programmatic requirements for each site.
- Prepare rent increase packages for HUD properties.
- Prepare utility analysis for HUD properties.
- Draft or review correspondence, including 10-day notices, appeal responses and other formal notices.
- Maintain updated and compliant policies and procedures for the portfolio, including Tenant Selection Plans, leases, addenda, applications, management agreements/plans, MOUs, etc.
- Complete the quarterly and annual reports for LIHTC properties.
- Keep current the SAM registration and DUNS number records for each site as required.
- Prepare any necessary initial reporting requests and subsequent responses to HUD’s Management and Occupancy Reviews (MORs), FHFC Management Review and Physical Inspections, or other site audits.
- Coordinate with partners to complete applications for new development or management opportunities.
- Liaise with HUD, NTHDC, FHFC, and other agencies relative to inquiries, incident responses, tenant complaints, etc.
- Maintain portfolio-wide documentation for EIV training and certification.
- Act as the Section 504 Coordinator and APPS Coordinator.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree; or job experience may substitute for degree.
- Experience with affordable housing, including rent increase packages, procedural compliance requirements, reporting processes, etc. is preferred.
- Proficient in Federal Fair Housing Laws and Landlord Tenant Laws.
- Must be organized and able to develop and adhere to a schedule to manage the deadlines and reporting requirements required by the various tasks listed above.
- Uses intuition and experience to identify and resolve problems. Can work with minimal supervision in setting priorities and directing day-to-day schedule/tasks.
- Must excellent verbal and written communication skills and the ability to interact with a variety of people.
- Must demonstrate computer literacy and proficiency, with a focus on Microsoft Word, Excel, and RealPage OneSite leasing software.
