The Compliance Department in Tampa is currently recruiting to hire an experienced Compliance Specialist. In order to be considered, candidates are welcomed from the public housing/non-profit housing sector, the institutional investment sector and the multi-family property management industry with knowledge of multi-layered financing programs not limited to Tax Credit, Bond, SHIP, HOME, SAIL, Public Housing, Project Based, etc.The position involves heavy data entry, a high volume of document processing with monitored deadlines.
Ideal Candidate will:
-Have a minimum of three years of on-site compliance property management experience or application screening processing and auditing files.
-Be team oriented and have professional written and verbal communication and customer service skills.
-Be highly organized, detail oriented and ability to accept change and learn new procedures.
-Have computer experience (proficient in Microsoft office excel, outlook and word and OneSite software preferred).
-To have HCCP and COS certifications will be required and are preferred to hold currently.
-Must possess the ability to read, comprehend, and follow simple to moderately complicated verbal and/or written instructions to perform tasks assigned and to maintain records.
-Must possess basic arithmetical calculation skills (addition, subtraction, multiplication, division, percentages, etc.) This level of proficiency is normally achieved through completion of a high school education or its equivalent.
Responsibilities will include (but will not be limited to):
-Work directly with the Compliance Department to perform full range of new applicant file reviews and recertification file reviews for approval prior admittance or continuation.
-Prepare daily, weekly and monthly reporting for review by onsite staff and by corporate personnel.
-Performs all other duties as directed by Compliance Manager/ Compliance Director to assist the JMG in operating a successful compliance department.
