The Center for Retina and Macular Disease is looking for a candidate to assist the IT Supervisor with various computer and network related tasks.  This candidate should be able to demonstrate a “problem solver” demeanor, good people skills and the forethought to work as a team.  Also encouraged is a strong work ethic and a willingness to learn new skills with the intention to apply said skill set to help continue the trend of innovation here at the Center for Retina and Macular Disease.

Description

–  Troubleshoot/repair computers and other electronic equipment as needed (including but not limited to PC workstations, mobile phones, printers, fax machines, TV’s, VOIP telephones)

–  Provide technical support to staff and patients

–  Maintain accurate equipment inventory

–  Interact with vendors to facilitate the repair of electronics and other equipment

–  Perform other related duties as assigned

Qualifications

–  High School Diploma / Associate’s Degree

–  At least 1 year of previous experience in a Help desk/Technical support position

–  Demonstration of simple troubleshooting skills regarding common aliments of computers, networks and other electronic equipment (Command line utilities including ping, ipconfig, etc.)

–  General understanding of a standard network infrastructure (Servers, switches, workstations, etc.)

–  Understanding of all Microsoft Operating Systems from Windows XP to the present

– Understanding and previous experience operating and/or repairing ophthalmic camera/photo equipment (Strongly Preferred but not Required)

–  MCP, A+ certifications (Preferred but not required)

Compensation

This position is non-exempt/hourly and paid bi-weekly. Starting compensation depends on experience and while certifications are NOT REQUIRED it is a plus and compensation is awarded at a higher pay grade.
