Description

  • Troubleshoot/repair computers and other electronic equipment as needed (including but not limited to PC workstations, mobile phones, printers, fax machines, TV’s, VOIP telephones)

  • Provide technical support to staff and patients

  • Maintain actuate equipment inventory

  • Interact with vendors to facilitate the repair of electronic equipment

  • Perform other related duties as assigned

Qualifications

  • High School Diploma / Associate’s Degree

  • At least 1 year of previous experience in a Help desk/Technical support position

  • Demonstration of simple troubleshooting skills regarding common aliments of computers, networks and other electronic equipment (Command line utilities including ping, ipconfig, etc.)

  • General understanding of a standard commercial network infrastructure (Servers, switches, workstations, etc.)

  • Understanding of all Microsoft OS from Windows XP to the present

  • Understanding and previous experience operating and/or repairing ophthalmic camera equipment (Strongly Preferred but not Required)

  • MCP, A+ certifications (Preferred but not required)

Also encouraged is a strong work ethic and a willingness to learn new skills with the intention to apply said skill set to help continue the trend of innovation here at the Center for Retina and Macular Disease.

Compensation

This position is non-exempt/hourly and paid bi-weekly. Starting compensation depends on experience and while certifications are NOT REQUIRED it is a plus and compensation is awarded at a higher pay grade.
