We are hiring an experienced Construction Accountant to join our TBBJ Fast 50 company! In this role, you’ll be responsible for managing multiple general contractor accounts, overseeing supplier & subcontractor contracts, evaluating production costs, reconciling statements, and creating purchase orders.
Construction Accountant Responsibilities:
- Weekly Accounts Payable and Accounts Receivable functions
- Performing bank, credit card, and supplier reconciliations
- Working directly in general contractor portals, such a SupplyPro
- Reporting any budgetary discrepancies for review
- Developing strong relationships with suppliers and subcontractors
- Creating and maintaining purchase orders for materials and labor
- Contacting general contractors, suppliers, and subcontractors for purchase order details
- Logging all order receipts and confirmations
- Cross-referencing product deliveries with purchase orders
- Tracking and monitoring purchases, from initial order to delivery
Construction Accountant Requirements:
- A bachelor’s degree in accounting
- A minimum of 3 year of construction accounting experience
- Experience with QuickBooks Enterprise
- Knowledge of BuilderTrend construction software
- Solid analytical and mathematical skills
- Meticulous attention to detail and a high level of accuracy
- Good communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to multitask and thrive in a fast-paced environment
- Experience working with general contractor and subcontractor accounts
