We are looking for a skilled and motivated Construction Assistant Project Manager to join our team. This is a temporary role (duration up to 1 year) hourly position reporting to the Project Manager at our Tampa Terminal location based in Tampa, FL. The individual in this position will be responsible for assisting the Project Manager with the successful execution of the onsite construction project and help to lead and coordinate project teams for the construction project ensuring safety, project quality, schedule, cost control and customer objectives are met.
Responsibilities:
- Provide onsite daily support to Project Manager at Tampa Terminal location.
- Assist in the coordination and implementation of the construction project.
- Update all assigned project schedules, including subcontractors and material deliveries.
- Assist with pre-construction activities including take-offs, bid solicitation, bid review, subcontractor negotiations and assembly of the final project budget.
- Help maintain project schedule by monitoring project progress, coordinating activities, and resolving problems.
- Prioritize tasks to provide a smooth flow of progress throughout the project.
- Keep a daily log of activities.
- Provide project status updates to the Project Manager.
- Supervise work performed by contractors.
Experience:
- 5-10 construction management experience preferred.
- Bachelor’s degree in construction science, construction management, engineering, architecture or other construction-related field.
- Ability to understand blueprints, schematics and construction drawings.
- Understanding of project time schedules.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office and construction management software.
- Position requires exceptional communication, computer and organizational skills.

Pay: $60,000.00 – $85,000.00 per year
