Marketplace Homes is one of the largest real estate brokerage and single-family property management companies in the United States. Through our advanced systems and networks, we market, fill and manage homes across the country while most employees are located at the Historic Trowbridge House in downtown Detroit. The company is rapidly growing, and we are seeking a motivated Field Service Support Specialist to join our team, operating out of the Tampa, Florida area.
The Field Service Support Specialist will be impacting the turnaround and quality of the homes we make available for rent and for sale in the Tampa, Florida area. This position will provide daily experience in the execution of one of the most critical components of real estate. The ideal applicant must be a licensed driver and have reliable transportation to cover the metro region.
Position Summary:
The Field Service Support Specialist will manage property maintenance and rehab work performed on homes. The Specialist will walk homes and report back the condition of work, manage vendors, perform inspections, and complete other tasks to ensure projects are completed in a timely and cost-efficient manner. This job is ideally suited for someone who is a self-starter, diligent, highly detail oriented, assertive, and seeking first-hand experience in construction management or property management.
Essential Functions:
- Visiting and walking residential properties to provide on-site inspections
- Providing consistent and clear documentation, utilizing notes, pictures, video, and online systems for record-keeping
- Evaluating quality of work performed by outside contractors first-hand and relaying information to team members
- Provide basic work to help homes become rent-ready or available for marketing. This may include basic yard maintenance, such as removal of small clutter or debris, or coordinating with cleaning crews
- Managing vendors to ensure timely and efficient service at the properties
- Other quality control duties as assigned
Qualifications:
- Minimum High School Degree or equivalent
- Experience in residential or commercial real estate, or construction
- Degree track for Construction Management, or a completed degree in Construction Management are preferred
