Johnson-Laux Construction is a Commercial General Contractor with a client base of Public and Private entities including new construction as well as renovations. Clients include Airports, Hospitals, Colleges/Universities, K-12 Schools, Cities, Counties, Parks, Hospitality, Military, and Office.
We are seeking an experienced Project Engineer / Assistant Project Engineer to Join our Team! The candidate will be working on a commercial construction project located in the Tampa, FL area. If candidate is not local, we will provide housing/cover living expenses for duration of the project.
Candidates Must Possess knowledge and experience in both Renovation and New Construction projects.
Preferred that Candidates Possess Aviation related Experience
Must Have Excellent communication skills
Must Have Excellent Customer Services Skills
Must be organized
Must be able to interact professionally with our clients, architects, engineers, and the general public.
Must be able to look ahead and forecast
Must be an excellent planner
Must be motivated and driven
Self Starters are an absolute must!
Must know how to perform all Project Engineering/APM Duties (soup to nuts): Planning, Scheduling, Estimating, Bidding, Document Control, Scope Development, Scope Review Meetings, OAC Meetings, Submittals, RFI’s, RCO’s, Subcontract Negotiation, Subcontracts, Vendor Pay Application review, Owner Pay App procurement, Closeout, and everything in between and anything not mentioned.
Must have Valid State of Florida Driver License
Must be able to pass a criminal Background Check
