BigFoot Reduction Inc., is a for profit company, that specializes in reducing the carbon footprint of commercial buildings. Building types include, industrial, infrastructure, government, senior care, education and high-rise office space. BigFoot works with portfolios of properties in the following ways, provides an initial energy consumption audit, provides savings and operational cash flow change recommendations (advisory), and may provide project management solutions and ongoing consulting solutions. BigFoot integrates software, hardware, audit, tax strategy, solicits financing, project management and cloud solutions to its clients for asset improvement and asset tracking.

POSITION SUMMARY:

The Superintendent is responsible for onsite field operations on the project. The Superintendent shall achieve timely, safe, and profitable completion of each project. The Superintendent directly supervises all field labor and is constant communication with the client and affected parties during ongoing activities. This position must demonstrate strong leadership, organizational and time management skills, dedication to safety and interim life-safety measures, strong communication and client service skills. Extensive travel for this position is required.

MAJOR DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:

· Direct day-to-day on-site supervision of field labor force

· Schedule and lead pre-installation meetings with subcontractors/vendors in advance of scheduled start dates.

· Schedule and direct all subcontractors and vendors.

· Maintain good relationships with internal and external clients, including representatives of Owner and Architect/Engineer

· Develop and maintain site logistics plan.

· Manage quality control

· Prepare and maintain all RFI and submittal logs

· Review and initiate all RFI’s

· Review all submittals required for project.

· Coordinate site testing and inspection efforts

· Monitor work and materials to ensure quality control standards are met at various stages of the project

· Keep the job site organized and clean at all times including meeting exceptional standards for waste disposal and environmental protection

· Coordinate and schedule inspections with subcontractors/vendors and all local AHJ’s.

· Coordinate and lead weekly subcontractor/vendor meetings and daily safety meetings. Document all meetings.

· Ensure an Injury-Free Environment through own actions and mentoring others

· Manage schedules and ensure all activities take place on or ahead of scheduled dates

· Create and execute punch-list prior to Client and/or design team.

· Review Subcontractors/Vendors written Job-Specific safety plan in advance of each trade starting work. Maintain job specific SDS/safety manuals/logs.

· Assists PD/Estimator as required

· Verify final record drawings are accurate

· Make sure necessary permits are secured before starting work and inspections are scheduled and occur in a manner that facilitates on-time or early completion of project.

· Generates and maintains daily log of all activities, workforce and documents via written and photograph entries.

· Review and completely understand all subcontractor/vendor scope of work documents.

· Assist in development of master project schedule. Generate and maintain 2-week look ahead schedules, daily when required.

· Work with Subcontractors/Vendors, Owner and Design teams to anticipate and solve problems before they negatively impact project schedule, budget and quality.

· Complete projects within given budget and timeframe while achieving exceptional quality and safety expectations.

· Maintain company confidentiality

· Other duties assigned

Job Requirements

· Computer knowledge and efficiency, including Microsoft Office products

· Broad understanding of industry

· Strong written and verbal communication skills

· Functions effectively as part of a team

· Exhibits strong leadership qualities

· Ability to work independently and exercise sound judgement

· Strong decision making/problem solving skills

· Excellent time management and organizational skills

· Ability to write reports and professional correspondence to Subcontractors/Vendors, government officials, and clients

* Extensive travel is required

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:

· 3 years of industry experience

· Possess and maintain valid drivers license

· Ability to pass a drug screening process

· Ability to pass background investigation

· Ability to stand for several hours at a time and to walk in varying climate conditions and on uneven ground

· Capacity to physically lift up to 85Lbs

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $55,000.00 – $75,000.00 per year

Schedule:

Supplemental Pay:

COVID-19 considerations:
PPE’s are required on all project sites.
