Construction Project Manager
Position Overview This is a traditional construction focused Project Manager position, with specialized focus in the insurance restoration sector. Construction projects will be commercial large loss insurance claims ranging in size from $300,000 – $12,000,000. This position will require daily verbal and written communication with Community Association Managers (CAM’s), governmental officials, owners, board members, coworkers and sub-contractors. This position will routinely be responsible for management of multiple projects at the same time. A typical workload is 3-6 projects, contingent on the size of each project.

The Desired Candidate Characteristics & Background
DESCRIPTION
A. This position requires a highly detailed individual with a strong knowledge of construction methods and practices, including strong experience at conducting quality control inspections to ensure sub-contractor work is correct.
B. Must be able to manage a construction budget with a focus on meeting or exceeding profit goals.
C. Must be committed to creating and managing a construction schedule for each project.
D. Proficiency in Microsoft Project is preferred. Otherwise a willingness to learn the software.
E. Must be able to operate independently without daily supervision.
F. Strong ability to supervise and manage Construction Managers and other jobsite personnel.
G. Must be able to communicate professionally and effectively with clients, sub-contractors, co-workers, and governmental officials.
H. Must be able to follow established company policies and procedures for the onboarding and ongoing management of projects, including a strong focus on the following; quality control, use of company software to properly document work, management of subordinates and project budgets.
I. Experience with Xactimate, including the ability to use sketch, is preferred.
J. Must be able to provide oversight and management of trades. Including the ongoing management, bidding, evaluation and selection of trades for specific projects.
K. Must have strong written and verbal skills.
L. Strong organizational skills and ability to prioritize and manage workload, including multiple projects with firm deadlines.
M. Proficient in Microsoft Office products including Outlook, Excel and Word.
N. Ability to adapt and thrive in a regularly changing work environment.
O. REGULAR TRAVEL IS REQUIRED.P. MULTIFAMILY EXPERIENCE REQUIRED
P. Willingness to perform other duties as assigned.
EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE
A. This position requires 5+ years of experience in construction field as a Project Manager or Construction Manager
B. College degree and experience in the insurance restoration industry preferred
