Full Job Description
The Rogers Group is currently seeking a Project Manager to join our team. We are a licensed General Contractor based in Plant City, Florida with projects ranging throughout the United States.
Responsibilities
- Collaborate with engineers, architects & clients to determine the specifications and timeline of the project
- Negotiate contracts with external vendors to reach profitable agreements
- Provide leadership and advice to field staff
- Participate in preconstruction meetings
- Determine needed resources (manpower, equipment, and materials) from start to finish with attention to budgetary limitations
- Plan all construction operations and schedule intermediate phases to ensure deadlines will be met
- Acquire equipment and material and monitor stocks to timely handle inadequacies
- Manage contractors and other staff and allocate responsibilities. Supervise the work of Superintendents, Laborers & Subcontractors and give them guidance when needed
- Evaluate progress and prepare detailed reports.
- Serve as client’s direct point of contact on related projects
- Willing travel as needed for projects
Qualifications
- Experience as construction project manager 5 years required
- In-depth understanding of construction procedures and material and project management principles
- Good knowledge of MS Office and familiarity with construction/ project management software
- Outstanding communication and negotiation skills
- Excellent organizational and time-management skills. A team player with leadership abilities.
