Construction Representative – Affordable Housing Developer/Contractor
Description
Established real estate developer/contractor seeks a Construction Representative for its affordable housing team. This individual will be responsible for oversight and management of all construction matters involving affordable housing projects, from the initial financing phase, through development, to construction completion. Looking for an experienced individual that is a self-starter, a team player and highly motivated.
Duties
- Assist with pre-development activities including design review, consultant management, and procurement of permitting and utilities
- Serve as construction liaison with, and provide oversight of, the General Contractor and design team, and represent developer in OAC meetings, draw meetings, and other on-site construction related meetings
- Interface with Housing Authority representatives (i.e., clients) to provide project status, facilitate client input, and otherwise help with managing the relationships
- Assist administrative team with construction budget management and construction draw processing

Requirements
- Experience in affordable housing or multifamily construction as Project Manager, Superintendent, Construction Administration, or Owner’s Representative
- Understanding of pre-development activities involved in affordable housing or multifamily construction projects
Skills
- Proficiency in Word, Excel, Adobe Acrobat, Dropbox, and Microsoft Outlook email system
- Organizational skills
- Written and oral communication skills
- Ability to read and interpret construction drawings (site and building), familiar with construction budgets, construction draw requests and change orders, surveys, permits, etc.
