MAINTENANCE TECHNICIAN – for Single-Family Rental Homes
Are you looking for a long-term and stable position, AND, an employer that offers tremendous growth opportunity? We are looking for two (2) Maintenance Technicians to be a part of our fast-growing Operations Team.
The right person for this role will have experience as a home-repair handyman or working for single-family REITs providing maintenance for single-family homes, or as a maintenance tech working at a large multi-family property. The right candidate will have broad experience handling general HVAC, plumbing, carpentry, toilets, painting, flooring, appliances, doors, walls/drywall, and minor exterior work.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- Maintain our luxury properties in the Fort Lauderdale, FL metro area.
- Repair structures such as showers, sinks, toilets, appliances, doors/cabinets, walls, and building exteriors.
- Minor HVAC repairs and replenishing refrigerant.
- Minor Appliance Repair.
- Must be able to exemplify and exercise discretion and sound independent judgment to evaluate the quality of work.
- Represent the company in a professional manner at all times.
- Perform other related duties and responsibilities as required.
POSITION QUALIFICATIONS
- Strong knowledge of Real Estate Construction, Renovations, and Repairs.
- Minimum 2-3 years building maintenance experience performing some carpentry, HVAC, electrical, mechanical, plumbing, and painting.
- Strong organizational skills, attention to detail & high-performance standards
- Excellent communication skills (both oral & written).
- Must be able to speak, write, and understand English.
- Ability to work efficiently and to multi-task
- Proven record of working independently and with minor supervision
- An effective team player with a positive attitude
- Able to be on-call for responding to after-hours emergencies.
- Prior maintenance experience working at a large multi-family property, or within the single-family rental industry
EDUCATION
- High school or equivalent (required)
LICENSES OR CERTIFICATIONS
- Valid Driver’s License
- EPA (preferred)
- OSHA (preferred)
