Controller / Real Estate – Taylor White Accounting and Finance (Tampa)

Well, this position could be for you! We are conducting a search for a REIT Controller to join a top performing team responsible for supporting all aspects of accounting and financial management.

Controller – Real Estate Job Duties:

• Serve as the right hand to the Founder/CEO for all things accounting
• Interface with outside CPAs, attorneys, etc
• Play a vital role in growing and developing the company structure
• Ensure proper accounting and processes
• Manage month end close process
• Prepare annual budget
• Maintain fixed asset records
• Generate all accounting reports
• Prepare monthly variance reports and financial statements
• Special projects, as needed

Controller – Real Estate Skills/Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting required
• CPA required, unless extensive REIT experience
• REIT experience required
• 8+ years of progressive professional accounting experience, preferably with some public accounting firm experience
• Superb communications skills required
• Ability to discuss technical accounting issues with a wide range of audiences
• Entrepreneurial attitude with drive, energy, and passion
• QuickBooks experience preferred
• Solid critical thinking and analysis and attention to detail
• Strong planning and organization skills and understanding of the importance of deadlines
