Full Time. The Coordinator of Faith Formation (K thru 5th) will assist in developing and implementing a vibrant faith formation program. Responsibilities include: recruiting and training catechists, engaging parents, maintaining database for active catechists and volunteers, ongoing parental communications (weekly update), communicate activities/events and updates in weekly parish bulletin, Children’s Liturgy of the Word on Sundays, Middle School Summer Program and other responsibilities as requested.Required Skills: Ability to recruit and lead teams of volunteers; excellent people skills, the ability to communicate with youth, parents, volunteers, and parish staff: the ability to work as part of a Lifelong Faith Formation team: writing and computer skills with experience and knowledge of web pages and social media, organizational skills and be detail oriented. The ideal candidate must have catechetical experience and/or completions of Diocesan Lay Pastoral Ministry Institute Program (LPMI) and/or earned Master Catechist Certificate are highly desirable. College degree preferred.
Must successfully complete a Level II FBI background screening and attend Safe Environment Training. The person called to lead this ministry, should be capable of creating and maintaining a Safe Environment for all involved.
