The Corporate Controller directs Boyd’s accounting activities in accordance with GAAP, to include financial planning and reporting, Federal, State, and local income and sales tax compliance, internal audit, accounts payable and receivables administration, company fixed assets, cost accounting and cash management for the company. Along with the company President, manage banking relationship providing financial reports, debt covenants calculation, and operational account(s) balancing. Analyzes financial data to identify and implement actions to achieve profitably goals.

· Prepare or direct preparation of financial statements, business activity reports, financial position forecasts, annual budgets, or reports required by regulatory agencies, company management and the Board of Directors. Ensure the accuracy, integrity and security of the company’s original records and reports as well as their timely completion of action by stakeholders.

· Proactively manage capital and report on the company financial performance to management to achieve the company’s financial plans and budgets. Manage financial activities and details such as reserve levels to ensure that all legal, regulatory, and banking covenant requirements are met.

· Develop and maintain relationships with banking, insurance, and non-organizational accounting personnel to facilitate financial activities. Authority for the receipt, disbursement, banking, protection, and custody of company funds.

· Review and approve/disapprove applications for Boyd’s in-house financing plans. Draft and submit loan documents for execution and UCC recording.

· Using MS Dynamics GP, Power BI, and Power App, development and maintain corporate financial information for access by members of management, sales and supply chain. Maintain data at a high degree of accuracy for calculation of sales commissions/bonuses, inventory levels, fixed assets, and other financial reporting elements.

· Analyze product costs monthly and identify cost drivers affecting budgeted profit margins. Prepare pricing recommendations based on economic or market conditions.

· Conduct or coordinate audits of company accounts and financial transactions to ensure compliance with state and federal requirements and statutes.

· Maintain current knowledge of organizational policies and procedures, federal and state policies and directives, and current accounting standards. Update Accounting Practices in accordance with Boyd’s Quality Management System and regulatory requirements.

· Monitor and evaluate the performance of accounting and other financial staff, recommending and implementing personnel actions, such as promotions and dismissals.

· Prepare and file annual tax returns or prepare financial information so that outside accountants can complete tax returns.

· Receive, record, and authorize requests for disbursements in accordance with company policies and procedures.

· Supervise employees performing financial reporting, accounting, billing, collections, payroll, and budgeting duties.

  • Bachelors degree; or 7 to 10 years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience. CPA designation desirable. MBA, a plus.
  • 3 – 5 years’ experience in a supervisor accounting role.
  • 7– 10 years’ experience in public or corporate accounting.

Computer Skills

  • Possess knowledge and use of Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) software. Specific knowledge of MS Dynamics GP software, a plus.
  • Possess high competency with Microsoft 365 applications specifically Teams, Power BI, Power Apps, Outlook, Excel and Word.
  • Possess knowledge of inventory, accounting and procurement software.

Pay: $125,000.00 – $150,000.00 per year
