JOB SUMMARY

We are seeking an experienced, detail-oriented senior accountant to join our growing organization. In this position, you will handle complex accounting matters within the company and verify financial records and transactions. You must have a keen attention to detail and maintain account balances, financial statements, and general ledger. You will also be responsible for daily transactional volume and monthly closings as well as keeping up to date on the accounting standards.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS

  • Prepare standard and complex monthly journal entries (i.e. investment, intercompany and elimination entries)
  • Collaborate with team of associates within and outside the company
  • Ensures assigned month-end close procedures are completed efficiently and timely (i.e. accruals, bank account, balance sheet reconciliations, etc.)
  • Review financial statements for variances and provide explanations
  • Assist with preparation of Form 10-K and 10-Q
  • Prepare internal financial reports for CFO
  • Prepare assigned audit work papers
  • Assist with research and documentation of technical accounting matters
  • Special projects and other ad hoc duties as assigned (e.g. XBRL, SEC reporting, budgeting, etc.)
  • Other duties may be assigned to meet the business needs

REQUIRED SKILLS & EXPERIENCE

  • 6 years relevant work experience of which 3 years are at a senior accountant level
  • Big Four experience preferred
  • Detail and deadline oriented, committed to professionalism
  • Team oriented, proactive approach to all situations
  • Proficient research and communication skills
  • Familiar with revenue accounting standards (ASC 606)
  • Highly proficient in writing technical accounting memos
  • Expertise in consolidating financial statements
  • Proficient in end-to-end preparation of financial statements

EDUCATION & TRAINING

  • Bachelor of Arts/Science in Accounting required

LICENSES OR CERTIFICATIONS

  • CPA

HYBRID WORKING & COLLABORATION WEEKS

To foster HCIs commitment to creating a collaborative work environment, remote workers will be required to report to a central office location for one week every quarter for collaboration, team building, and educational exercises. Attendance during collaboration weeks is a vital component of our team culture, and therefore mandatory unless exceptions are approved through Human Resources. Additionally, employees may be asked to report to the office outside of collaboration weeks as project requirements, team meetings, or other organizational needs that necessitate in-person collaboration occur.
