IDEAL CANDIDATE PROFILE
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
Two years of clerical experience one of which included the processing, examining, preparing or reviewing of any type of legal document.
TESTING REQUIREMENTS
JOB SPECIFIC COMPETENCIES
- Some knowledge of general office policies, procedures and practices.
- Some knowledge of legal terminology and procedures.
- Some knowledge of English grammar and spelling, and arithmetic.
- Ability to perform accurate computations and verifications of data.
- Ability to operate word processing and other office equipment.
- Ability to work effectively with others.
- Ability to use a computer terminal to quickly and accurately enter data.
REPRESENTATIVE DUTIES

- Prepares, processes and maintains legal records, court files, minutes, calendars, and dockets.
- Maintains docket records and diary of transactions.
- Receives, verifies, and examines legal forms and court exhibits to ensure adherence to court procedures.
- Accepts or rejects bonds based on specified criteria.
- Issues receipts for materials and payments.
- Processes and indexes a variety of reports and other materials according to established procedures.
- Provides information concerning general court procedures to the general public and other departments and agencies.
- Attends court proceedings and records minutes.
- Records case dispositions, court orders and arrangements for payment of court fees.
- Types letters, memoranda, and reports as necessary.
- Performs other related duties as required.

CONCLUSION

RESPONSE/RECOVERY ACTIVITIES: Employees may be required to participate in response/recovery activities in response to a major emergency or natural disasters affecting County operations. In such situations, every effort will be made to maintain operations, but employees may be assigned to carry out response activities suited to their skills and capabilities.
