Cracker Country’s Historic Area Docents are responsible for interpreting the early life in rural Florida, giving accurate historical information about the museum buildings, exhibits and lifestyles during the Florida State Fair.
Historic Area Docents must have a willingness to learn and/or expand knowledge of historical material and period activities. Requires sitting and/or standing for long periods of time and light to moderate physical activity. Must be available to work all 12 days of the Fair, February 9, 2017 through February 20, 2017. EOE / DFWP Education: High school diploma or equivalent/GED. Experience: Minimum of one (1) year of experience in education, museum education, historical interpretation and/or equivalent. Experience working with children and/or families is a plus. Skills: Must have exceptional customer service and strong interpersonal skills. Must be able to organize information in a concise and coherent manner for presentations.
