Our company is seeking a Manager for our federal building the R.L Timberlake jr in Tampa, FL. Management
coordinates the activities of workers engaged in cleaning and maintaining the premises of the building. Applicants must have a relative and recent experience.
*Must have at least 3 years experience in the last 7 years, managing a building of at least 250,000 SF.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
Hiring, training, and monitoring janitorial staff
Plan and prepare employee work schedules
Inspect work performed to ensure that it meets specifications and established standards
Investigate complaints about service and equipment and take corrective action
Inspect and evaluate the physical condition of facilities in order to determine the type of work required
Coordinate activities with other departments to ensure that services are provided in an efficient and timely manner
Check equipment to ensure that it is in working order instruct staff in work policies and procedures and the use and maintenance of equipment
Perform or assist with cleaning duties as necessary
Select the most suitable cleaning materials and chemicals for different types of furniture, flooring, and surfaces
Take inventory and order janitorial supplies
Complete and monitor payroll using electronic payroll systems
Prepare reports and inspections using a computer and site inspection technology
Attend meetings with customers and property owners
Determine best practices for performing new and updated cleaning specifications
Experience:
3-5 years related experience and/or training in a managerial or supervisory role in a service-related industry
Proficient computer and tablet skills including Microsoft Office, electronic payroll systems, online ordering, and internet usage
Knowledge of general chemicals and practices used in a janitorial setting
Experience with janitorial equipment including automatic scrubbers, vacuums, pressure washers, etc.
Language Skills:
Ability to read, analyze, and interpret general business periodicals, professional journals, technical procedures, or regulations. Ability to communicate effectively in English using a two-way radio Bilingual skills are a plus but not necessary
Must be able to pass a nationwide background check, drug test, and be eligible to work in the US
