The Opportunity

The Merch Support Data Entry Assistant must multi-task and prioritize effectively while executing various tasks for special projects as requested. This position will utilize various systems and process as needed to accomplish tasks. Interacts and corresponds with vendors and internal teams to respond to requests.  Ensures accuracy and completeness of data. Ability to easily change priorities and effectively flex working style to complete projects in a timely manner.  Maintains and develops efficient and accurate reporting metrics for projects as needed.

Who We Are

Merchandising Operations is a dedicated, full time resource to address the non-core-buying and product development activities that fall to the merchandising team. This function builds on the success of the past but will enable the Merchandising team to realize its full potential by solving both for the short-term and the long-term and driving progress and continuous improvement.

Your Impact

  • Identify appropriate vendor contacts and correspond accordingly to secure pertinent information for special projects as necessary.  
  • Enters appropriate information into internal systems as needed.  Adds additional information as needed.
  • Uses independent judgment to problem solve as necessary.
  • Acts a spokesperson for the process.
  • Thoroughly understand pertinent QVC or HSN internal systems required to perform pertinent project tasks.
  • Supports full team in developing and evolving processes to ensure that department spreadsheets are maintained and accurate.
  • Runs reporting to document project progress.
  • Receives and independently responds to correspondence from internal and external stakeholders.
  • Communicates business-critical information daily with greater Merchandising Support team and other internal departments across QVC and HSN.  Updates partners on issues that arise.
  • Creates and maintains documentation on training and work processes.
  • Performs other related duties and projects as needed to support team goals.
  • Collaborates with different business units to share best practices and procedures.  Builds a strong network of internal and external relationships that can be used to deliver solutions. 
  • Researches issues as they arise, communicate findings, and offer solutions.

What You Bring

  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Excellent knowledge of PC and network systems including: Outlook, Word, Excel, and SharePoint
  • Ability to prioritize and exhibit strong time management skills
  • Aptitude for executing detailed information quickly and with accuracy
  • High levels of focus, flexibility and organization
  • Good decision-making in a fast-paced, constantly changing e-commerce environment
  • Ability to build relationships, trust and credibility with strong interpersonal and communication skills
  • Strong customer service focus
  • Ability to work with minimal supervision
  • Flexible to accommodate changing demands of a global, 24-7 e-commerce environment
  • Pro-active, diplomatic communication style, raising concerns and suggestions as needed
  • Composure and focus on detail in a fast-paced environment
