Full Job Description

Plumlee Vacation Rentals is looking for a Department manager in our busy vacation rental housekeeping office to manage and schedule cleaning staff and inspectors. Department manager will be responsible for communicating directly with property owners and guests.

Skills/ Qualifications:

* Strong team leader with an outgoing and friendly personality with the ability to lead and inspire team members. Supervision, staffing, safety management, thoroughness, equipment maintenance, managing process, development budgets, initiative planning, customer focus, listening, computer skills, ability to multitask while paying attention to detail is a must.

* Good understanding and utilization of time management.

* Must know how to prioritize and delegate

* Prepares payroll for accounts payable.

* High school diploma

* Saturdays required

* Good transportation

* Salary position with benefits

* 2-3 years relevant work experience

Duties include:

* Keeps supplies and linens ready by inventorying stock; placing orders; verifying receipt and managing laundry vendor relationships.

* Meets operational standards by contributing information to strategic plans and reviews implementing production productivity. Resolving problems: identifying system implements.

* Accomplishes human resource objectives by selecting, orienting, training, assigning, scheduling, coaching, counseling, and disciplining employees; communicating job expectations; planning, monitoring, appraising job contributions: recommending compensation actions: adhering to policies and procedures.

* Prepares work priorities by obtaining list of vacant properties that need to be cleaned immediately and a list of all prospective check-outs.

* Provides property availability information by informing property manager or reservationist that properties are ready for occupancy.

* Resolves customer complaints by investigating and taking corrective actions.

* Contributes to team effort by attending periodic staff meeting with other department supervisors; discussing company policies and patron’s complaints making recommendations to improve service and operations.

* Maintains safe, secure, and healthy work environment by establishing and produces complying with legal regulations.
