Fairgrounds St. Pete is an arts destination where everyone is invited to explore an immersive world of playful art and technology exhibits based on original Florida stories.


Through a range of exhibits, events and workshops, Fairgrounds St. Pete will showcase the creative innovations of artists and makers working in all mediums. Our mission is to become a cultural hub for immersive art experiences, and an economic engine for local artists and craftspeople. We believe in art for all, joy for all, play for all.


The name Fairgrounds references traditional fairgrounds and their role as a place for exhibiting new ideas, as well as recognizing talent, creativity and innovation. Much like a county, state or world’s fair, Fairgrounds is a place for play and discovery and a venue for showcasing, convening and celebrating Florida’s creative community and artists. In addition, the word Fairgrounds is a play on words referencing our mission to compensate artists fairly for their contributions by paying not only for their work, but also a portion of the profits from ticket sales while their work is on view.


Position Overview


Fairgrounds St. Pete seeks an upbeat, capable and highly self-motivated individual to join our team as the Digital Marketing & Content Specialist. In this full-time role, you will support Fairgrounds St. Pete in communicating the brand and public relations by telling the story of Fairgrounds St. Pete and driving engagement, ticket sales and membership revenue via digital platforms. The successful digital marketer has excellent visual, verbal and written communication skills and is highly organized and detail-oriented.


The Digital Marketing & Content Specialist must be able to write, develop, edit and publish content, copy and visuals for a variety of digital platforms, including websites, blogs, videos, email marketing campaigns, advertising campaigns and social media posts, as well as be able to measure the success of such campaigns.

This role will be instrumental in helping Fairgrounds St. Pete gain exposure and leads through digital advertising by running Facebook & Google ads and creating content for the biggest ROI in our company: social (FB, Insta, Linkedin) and Mailchimp email marketing, earned media. The ability to read and understand analytics is a must, as well as keeping an eye on innovation and identifying emerging platforms and trends in the digital space.

Responsibilities:


Digital Marketing & Content Responsibilities

  • Create, manage and implement ongoing ticket sales promotion via social, web and email marketing
  • Compose, launch and optimize social advertising campaigns using Facebook Ads Manager, Google Ads and other platforms/tools
  • Recommend, create, place and review digital advertising campaigns
  • Suggest and oversee budgets for advertising campaigns and media outreach
  • Create exciting, onbrand, storyful, sales email newsletters for the public and artist collaborators
  • Create content into a series of assets for social media which our audience will love and re-share (video clips, REELS, gifs, graphics, photos, stories, copy, etc.)
  • Implement and populate a digital media calendar with fresh content weekly
  • Coordinate and manage press communications including pitching, follow-up, scheduling, and hosting
  • Develop, write and iterate copy, press releases, blog posts and other communication material to be shared with media outlets, artists and on FG’s social media channels, emails and website
  • Meet regularly with the Fairgrounds team
  • Shoot and edit videos
  • Shoot and archive the story of Fairgrounds St.Pete via video/audio/photography
  • Create engaging weekly social media posts across multiple channels to generate brand awareness, engagement and ticket sales
  • Generate written and visual content for blog with weekly/bi-weekly blog posts by our artist collaborators
  • Plan, implement and evolve marketing activities as they relate to the master plan
  • Proactively engage with digital marketing and social communication technologies and trends (i.e. Discord, TikTok, Snap, Twitch)
  • Actively and positively on social media: comments, responses, DM’s


Nice-to-haves

  • Updating WordPress website
  • Conducting on air and print interviews with current and potential artist collaborators and Fairgrounds staff/team for archival purposes, social media and traditional media outlets

  • Compensation commensurate with experience
  • Occasional non-standard hours to accommodate the needs of the business
  • Working environment is unique: our office environment includes installation site and fabrication/exhibit warehouse

REQUIREMENTS


  • At least 2+ years of experience working in sales, digital marketing and/or digital analytics
  • Exceptional communication skills: verbal, written and presentation
  • Excellent at creative software and Adobe Suite products (Photoshop, InDesign, Illustrator, Spark, Premiere, iMovie, Canva)
  • Experience in paid social campaigns (Facebook, Instagram, YouTube and other social channels)
  • Experience working with email marketing campaigns and scheduling tools (Mailchimp, Later)
  • Proficient in GSuite: Gmail, Calendar, Docs, Sheets, Slides)
  • Experience with creating content and copy for FB, Instagram, FB & IG LIVE, LinkedIn, company website and email newsletters
  • Familiar with working in almost every content creation format out there and can create, edit and adjust graphics, video, and ads in creative software including Adobe Suite products (Photoshop, InDesign, Illustrator, Spark, Canva, Premiere, iMovie)
  • Experience putting together presentations in written form using Google slides
  • Digital marketing and SEO strategy creation and execution experience
  • Excellent analytical and problem solving abilities
  • Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team
  • Ability to work on tight deadlines, with attention to detail even under pressure Impeccable writing and verbal skills
  • Ability to exercise sound judgment and decision making
  • Good time-management skills
