Job Summary:
The Administrative Services Director is responsible for directing the community Reception, Security and Transportation staff of 25+ associates at a level 3 CCRC community to include hiring, training, evaluating performance, resolving disciplinary issues and firing.
Essential Functions:
1. Manages the Reception, Security and Transportation staff. Oversees scheduling to ensure 24 hour coverage for the entire campus.
2. Develops, implements, and monitors Reception, Security and Transportation budgets.
3. Works with Procurement to oversee DOT requirements for all CDL drivers to ensure DOT compliance.
4. In coordination with vendors, creates and monitors disaster evacuation plans. Responsible for the annual disaster plan, making appropriate changes and obtaining approvals from local municipalities as required by state regulations.
5. Implements process improvements utilizing technology of life safety systems including fire, nurse call and security systems.
6. Responsible for educating the Executive Director and community associates of disaster plan and plan changes. Responds to emergencies by calling internal and external parties.
7. Works with fleet management in regards to identifying new vehicle needs (i.e. cars, vans, bus, etc.).
8. Oversees receiving and returning of community leased vehicles.
9. Acts as liaison for residents and guests providing assistance and guidance as needed.
10. Works closely with other departments to ensure emergency and safety equipment and internal TV channel is in safe working order.

Education and Experience
A Bachelor’s degree (B.A. or B.S.) from a four-year college or university; five years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education experience.
Certifications, Licenses, and other Special Requirements
Fire Safety and Basic CPR/First Aid training. Valid state driver’s license required.

Applies existing guidelines and procedures to make varied decisions within a department. Uses sound judgment and experience to solve moderately complex problems based on precedent, example, reasonableness or a combination of these.
Knowledge and Skills
Possesses extensive knowledge of a distinct skill or function and a thorough understanding of the organization and work environment. Has a working knowledge of a functional discipline.
