NOW CFO is seeking a dynamic and experienced Director of Client Engagement and Chief Financial Officer to oversee the coordination, execution, and successful completion of client projects within our outsourced accounting firm. This person MUST have a strong professional background in Accounting to be considered, preferably at the Controller/CFO level.
Candidates MUST be currently local to the Tampa, FL area to be considered.
Responsibilities:
- Lead and organize projects across various solutions sets, managing tasks of different sizes and complexities.
- Implement established project management methodologies and tools.
- Develop project plans and tasks using project management and billing systems.
- Identify project risks and develop mitigation strategies.
- Oversee issue identification and resolution throughout the project lifecycle.
- Conduct weekly project status meetings with team members and stakeholders, documenting progress and addressing challenges.
- Manage project budgets, monitoring key metrics and estimates.
- Facilitate internal and external meetings to ensure timely completion of agenda items.
- Maintain accurate project information in the Project Management system.
- Ensure compliance with firm documentation collection and retention policies.
- Cultivate strong relationships between clients and the NOW CFO team.
- Identify opportunities for cross-functional collaboration.

- Excellent written and verbal communication skills to communicate within the internal team and with clients through email, instant messaging systems, project management systems, web conferencing, and in person.
Candidate’s Must Have:
- Bachelors Degree in Accounting (Candidates without an Accounting Degree will not be considered)
- Previous work experience as a consultant preferably at the CFO/Controller level
- Active CPA is preferred
- Masters Degree is preferred
- Local to the Tampa, FL area, with a strong network established.
- Experience working with clients and leading the life cycle of a project.
- Experience with PowerBI
- PMP is preferred
Compensation: $115-$130k
