This growing and profitable company has a unique and exciting opportunity available as DIRECTOR OF HUMAN RESOURCES. The position will have great visibility and career growth potential. The position reports directly to the Chief Financial Officer.
As a high energy, enthusiastic, hands-on human resources expert, you will be called upon to provide strategic and tactical HR leadership. You will capitalize on your knowledge of employee relations, recruiting, compensation, benefits, compliance and training to ensure alignment of HR initiatives with corporate objectives. You will be expected to build and maintain effective working relationships at all levels of the organization in this employee oriented company. Primary responsibilities will include:
- Responsible for the human resources strategy including developing the human resources vision, mission and goals and objectives to support corporate goals.
- Provide the company with a competitive edge through hiring and retaining of highly qualified and productive talent.
- Maximize employee engagement by promoting a productive and professionally satisfying work environment.
- Ensure compliance with all required labor laws relative to hiring and employment.
- Daily interaction with employees at all levels of the organization regarding employee relations activities/issues.
- Evaluate current position descriptions and compensation structures and make appropriate recommendations.
- Administer the performance management process including the development of career paths.
- Evaluate current human resources policies, procedures and processes and focus on continuous improvement.
- Manage the corporate benefits programs.
- Ensure a high level of customer service for all internal and external customers.
- Manage the relationship with key outsourced vendors.
- Participate in Merger and Acquisition activities as needed.
The individual we seek must be strategic and tactical with strong employee relations and recruiting skills. You will possess the ability to gain consensus for your ideas. The successful candidate will possess a Bachelors Degree in Human Resources Management or a related field and 7 – 10 years of human resources generalist management experience. PHR certification desirable. Excellent multi-tasking and communication skills, computer literacy and strong leadership skills are necessary qualifications. Experience working with PE firms is desirable.
