SOMA was founded to redefine how dispatchers, first responders, and other public safety personnel work, increasing productivity and reducing error – ultimately saving more lives. The SOMA Platform is built from the ground up on a modern technology stack, deployed in a cloud-native, server-less environment with a fresh user experience on any screen or device.
Historically, SOMA has grown its base through word-of-mouth. We’ve hired our CMO and now we’re looking for a Director of Marketing to help bring the SOMA story to life as we fulfill our mission to fundamentally change and revolutionize the public safety industry.

Job Duties & Responsibilities:
Work with CMO to develop 12 – 24 month marketing plan and strategy
Collaborate with Sales on new opportunities driving SOMA’s revenue growth by providing sales and marketing collateral demonstrating our Platform ecosystem and services
Manage SOMA’s brand identity, developing all brand materials and managing the website and social media channels to ensure consistency and promote growth
Oversee lead generation and prospect engagement through marketing activities, such as email, content marketing, blogging, webinars, digital and co-marketing opportunities
Write, edit, curate, produce, publish, and promote industry-leading content including blogs, whitepapers, press releases, infographics, briefs, videos, podcasts, social media content, etc.; define editorial strategy
Support company in research management in developing complex market research objectives to help meet strategic goals.
Research and analyze competitor products and services to determine company product competitiveness in market, make recommendations corresponding to market demands
Responsible for clearly defined metrics of success to measure the quality of content, audience growth, engagement, and content reach
Collaborate across departments to increase marketing message consistency and provide supporting materials where needed
Plans, promotes, and helps execute large conferences and key events to enhance corporate image and networking opportunities
Disseminates information to appropriate parties, as needed, to build stakeholder awareness of market trends and to develop strategies that enhance market competitiveness
Supports and ensures maintenance of consistent corporate image throughout product lines, promotional materials, and events
Provides leadership and work guidance to less experienced personnel. May assist in the formal training of less experienced personnel
Requirements
4 – 6 years of brand marketing, lead generation and writing experience
Strong cross team collaboration and communication to guarantee brand consistency, streamline brand value and support various teams (Marketing, Sales, Partnerships, etc.)
Large brand or agency experience is a plus
Effectively able to prioritize projects and workload in a fast paced, dynamic environment
Proactive approach to tackling marketing projects and addressing creative, social and lead generation activities
Experience with CRM solutions and key tools such as WordPress, Google Analytics, Microsoft Office, and Social Media channels
Utility player who will also support and participate in key Sales endeavors like conferences management and demo training events, etc.
