The ideal candidate is a self starter that can assist senior management in making informed decisions on proposed and existing real estate development investments.
Required Skills
- Master’s in Business Administration
- 4-7 years real estate finance experience required (brokerage/banking experience a plus)
- Understanding of debt/equity structures
- Experience with construction loan draws
- Federal funding knowledge a plus
- Expert skill with Microsoft Excel and financial modeling required
- Proficiency in Microsoft PowerPoint and Word are required
- Strong oral and written communication skills
- Excellent problem-solving and quantitative skills with attention to detail
- Strong interpersonal skills with an ability to interact with senior level management
- Strong organizational skills and the ability to handle multiple initiatives
- Ability to coordinate information from various sources
Required Experience
- Prepare detailed monthly cash flow forecast and other financial projections
- Assist in preparing annual & long-term budgets and perform monthly variance analysis
- Perform sensitivity analyses to determine potential market impacts to forecast.
- Compare and analyze proforma building budgets versus actual costs, rents and operating expenses at stabilization.
- Assisting with due diligence on potential acquisitions
- Developing 10yr DCF valuations and ground up development models
- Creating investment, financing, and ad hoc presentations for senior management
- Participating in planning and design efforts for new developments
- Providing daily operational support to development team
- Performing market research and ad hoc projects as needed
