The Director of Institutional Planning has primary responsibility for the planning and implementation of the Campus Master Plan through capital and operational projects. This position is also responsible for the management of all campus maintenance needs, capital assets, and general campus operations. This position shares responsibility with the CFO for property management for the school’s LLC’s and property acquisitions. This position oversees a Facilities and Maintenance Department that includes an Operations Manager, Operations Assistant, Plant Manager, and 3 full-time maintenance personnel. This 12-month position reports to the President.
Coordinate the design and programming of the ongoing Campus Master Plan.
Solicit, negotiate, and contract with design firms, contractors, and consultants required for capital projects.
Act as liaison with adjoining neighborhood, school attorneys, and city officials as it relates to campus development.
Manage the design and construction process as the Owner’s Representative.
Develop project budgets and manage cost projections throughout the projects.
Manage third party contracted services such as cafeteria vendor, custodial, landscaping, and campus security.
Ensure proper coordination between maintenance staff and administration.
Develop and manage budgets for all operations and maintenance items.
Attend Board of Trustee meetings and periodically present on activities within the department. Attend Board of Trustee committee meetings as needed
