The director of marketing will be a quick, organized, creative thinker who will have ultimate responsibility for the success of our client’s projects. You will provide strategic consulting and market analysis for all accounts and will be considered the lead in client contact and responsible in direction of strategy, creative and project implementation and development.   Has a deep understanding of how a creative agency works and will be able to provide our clients with strategic ideas and plans, as well as understand what it takes to bring those ideas to life.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES

• Serve as a senior-level contact for clients and the direct report to those in the marketing division

• Direct the account management/marketing function so that the environment, culture, team, capabilities, tools, processes, expectations, work style and other elements support the strategic goals and brand of the marketing company

• Develop and implement process for new marketing company for new client acquisitions

• Ensure the account management/marketing department operates in an efficient profitable manner

• Build structure for new marketing company in regards to account and project management

• Direct and educate new clients in the marketing process of developing projects and campaigns

• Create communication plan for new marketing company that all departments will follow

• Develop and implement marketing forms, reports and documents that new marketing company will use for new clients and projects

• Provide strategic business and marketing leadership by working with clients to identify marketing needs and objectives

• Develop cohesive marketing communication plans/strategies/ideas that help clients achieve business goals

• Develop/write marketing plans

• Write marketing and creative briefs

• Quickly acquire an in-depth knowledge of each client’s business

• Anticipate and serve client needs

• Hire and manage support team, including marketing/account staff, to achieve marketing goals

• Set expectations and standards (build a culture) for account/marketing team attitude, behavior, teamwork and professional development.  Lead accordingly.

• Motivate team by promptly reviewing work and providing constructive feedback

• Help account team work effectively and in the best interest of clients/agency

• Maximize agency’s network of resources to enhance client services

• Participate in new business pitches and presentations

• Oversee account budget allocation and monitor overall account time

• Be comfortable engaging in business dialogue and offering fact-based guidance to multiple-levels  of management

• Possess strong organizational and multi-tasking skills

• Possess strong verbal and written communication skills

• Possess strong data analysis skills and ability to use analysis to develop action plans

• Recognize and prioritize the most-effective opportunities on limited budgets and timeframes

• Possess strong knowledge of marketing and advertising channels such as direct mail, TV, radio, print and web

• Develop and build proposals and contracts for all clients that are profitable for the new marketing company

• Assist creative director in building new marketing company marketing materials including business cards, marketing collateral, website, etc

• Other duties as defined by CEO and Chief Marketing Officer
