Education
B.S. degree in Business or health related field required.
Experience Required
5-10 plus years of broad based operations and management experience
OR
Any combination of academic education, professional training or work experience, which demonstrates the ability to perform the duties of the position.

Must be able to work under tight deadlines
Ability to execute multiple tasks and projects simultaneously
Proven excellence in staffing, developing, motivating, and retaining a work team
Excellent time management and organizational skills
Extensive knowledge of word processing and data analysis software as well as knowledge of Medical Billing Systems is required.
Working knowledge of presentation software such as Microsoft Powerpoint is strongly desired
Must demonstrate professional communication skills and communicate effectively with all levels of staff, including senior management

Job Description

 

The Director Operations is responsible for the development and maintenance of infrastructure and business operations, administrative personnel, and the general operations of various departments. Develops and implements strategic partnerships with other areas. This position also negotiates and maintains service contracts, develops and implements policies and procedures, and completes regular audits.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities

Directs activities through subordinate supervisors to meet production goals consistent with cost, quality and delivery requirements.

Leads the development of annual cost center budgets including revenue and expense projects. Monitors expenses and reviews P&L statements.

Makes recommendations for appropriate staffing levels and projections as well as opportunities for new revenue streams.

Develops policies and procedures in relation to administrative issues, including building security and safety issues.

Creates performance development programs including training for new hires; conduct audits to measure training success and develop corrective action plans when necessary

Evaluates current and new regulatory mandates and assures management policies and procedures are compliant with state and federal regulations.

Responsible for the ongoing evaluation of processing and reporting systems and the development of modifications.

May work with Finance to develop, evaluate, and implement appropriate contracting models; leads rate negotiations. Also works with Finance to develop and recommend billing strategies.

Coordinates production activities with other functions.
