Job Summary:

Under general direction with a high level of autonomy, uses extensive knowledge and skills obtained through education and experience to provide real estate leadership and strategic direction to the firm.  Works with other members of the real estate leadership team to develop and provide strategic direction on workplace design, portfolio management, Business Unit relationship management, and organizational evolution.  Provides support for major projects, programs and processes with significant business impact to the corporation.  Completes complex assignments with substantial latitude for autonomous actions and decisions.  Results are evaluated based on the achievement of established goals and objectives.  Extensive contact with various departments of Raymond James is required to perform the functions of this position.

 

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

 

• Define enterprise strategies and requirements ensuring portfolio strategy and real estate assets are aligned for optimal Business Unit (BU) use and growth.

• Demonstrate strong leadership by developing effective BU relationships.

• Oversee the development of strategic space planning to efficiently manage the real estate portfolio and alignment of department goals with the broader business objectives.

• Direct the creation of design solutions that help attract and retain top talent, supports the well-being of Associates, optimizes our real estate and delivers significant value for the investment.

• Conduct on-going workplace portfolio assessments in order to effectively leverage our real estate and optimize our Associate experience including tracking, analyzing and reporting on capacity metrics, risks and opportunities to executive leadership.

• Define and implement an Alternative Workplace Strategies (AWS) program that aligns with the firm’s culture, brand, and identity including metrics related to organizational performance.

• Provide direction and guidance regarding space policies, procedures and protocols to drive compliance with established standards.

• Provide direction, oversight, and communication for corporate change management related to implemented real estate strategies.

• Lead business case development and scenario modeling to enable enterprise-wide real estate strategy.

• Design service models that increase agility, reduce cost and create a culture of exceptional service.

• Serves as a member of the management team in developing short and long term goals and initiatives to achieve strategic vision.

• Develop and support the implementation of tactics to achieve strategic objectives.

• Research, explore and report out on the best practices of innovative approaches and solutions from other companies, industry organizations, and other sources of inspiration

• Contributes to real estate planning process by participating in management meetings, facilitating aspects of strategic off-sites, and taking ownership of critical path initiatives.

• Provides documentation and guidance for process and methodology governance, standards and guidelines, and tracks measurable results.

• Provides direct support to top level enterprise programs.

• Develops roadmaps, establishes implementation plans, and drives adoption of technology and operations strategy for the firm by working effectively with partners across the organization.

• As a corporate representative, attends key industry conferences pertaining to real estate, workforce and occupancy planning; prepares and presents at industry conferences.

• Effectively manages personnel, plans, processes and programs to ensure the attainment of current and future objectives, efficiency, growth, development and administration of the division; implementing change as needed.

• Performs human resource management activities, including identifying performance problems and approving recommendations for remedial action; evaluating performance; interviewing and selecting staff.

• Coaches and mentors associates, identifies training needs and approves development plans.

• Performs other duties and responsibilities as assigned.

Educational/Previous Experience Requirements:

• Bachelor’s Degree (B.A.) from four-year College or university and a minimum of ten (10) years experience in a corporate real estate environment and five (5) years of management experience

• MBA or real estate secondary degree preferred.

Licenses/Certifications:

• MCR, SLCR, CCIM, PMP, LEED or other professional designations preferred.
