About the Job
This position falls under the supervision of the EVP and works in the capacity of a project manager, coordinating acquisitions and potential disposition opportunities of multifamily and commercial assets for the company. The analyst works closely and coordinates with all departments involved with the collection, distribution and investigation/analysis of information required throughout the project life cycle. The ideal candidate will execute on the below job functions with a high level of quality and accuracy.

DUE DILIGENCE FUNCTIONS:
Coordinate and communicate with Sellers/Brokers, Lenders, & internal team members for the collection of required Due Diligence information for potential acquisitions.
Schedule and coordinate all site visits for internal and external needs. (corporate and vendor/Seller Rep/etc.)
Lead and actively participate, in all site visit(s).
Organize and distribute information obtained from visit as well as information obtained from seller / broker
Prepare agenda and participate in bi-weekly status call with all departments.
Coordinate the Third-Party Reports proposal, process, and review data received.
Thoroughly research and review all Due Diligence information (i.e. leases, ground leases, environmental and engineering reports, appraisals, etc.) and prepare summary report findings relating to potential acquisitions for internal team member review
Analyze rent roll, any leases, security deposits, delinquencies and all associated operating data required.
Review insurance and real estate tax information for the properties, and communicate directly with the insurance and tax consultants.
Collaborate with Acquisitions Underwriting Analyst with appropriate information requested or required.
Assist in facilitating the loan closing and insure all loan documentation and third-party reports conform to Lender requirements.
Prepare the closing statement and schedule the acquisition closing with both internal and external participants.
Maintain electronic and paper files during due diligence/closing /transition process and insure smooth transition of same to Accounting Manager/Operational Platform/Asset Manager post-closing
Assists in transition tasks as necessary
Completes additional duties as assigned


Education
Undergraduate degree required. Degree with a business component would be preferred.


Experience/Skills
At least three (3) years of real estate analytical, property or asset management experience or real estate paralegal experience, multifamily experience preferred.


Competencies

Strong understanding of financial terms and principles and real estate terminology.
Pro-active thinking, motivated, service oriented and adaptable.
Advanced analytical and organizational skills. Very detail oriented.
Proven ability to work effectively under pressure and to prioritize to meet deadlines consistently.
Excellent computer skills including Microsoft Office and advanced Excel ability. Working knowledge of Yardi and/or SharePointe and Microsoft Teams, a plus.
Ability to work both independently and as part of a team.
High energy, positive demeanor, ability to drive projects through to completion with little supervision.
Ability to identify problems, seek resources for guidance, analyze and recommend solutions, and communicate and/or implement solutions using judgment and discretion.
Ability to grow as the scope of the position increases.
Ability to pass a drug screen and a criminal background check.
