Lee County is posting one of its top jobs online.

The county has created a special website to recruit the next director of the Economic Development Office: http://www.leegov.com/ecodevrecruitment/Pages/default.aspx

The current director, James Moore, is retiring Sept. 1 and Assistant County Manager Glen Salyer will run the department until a permanent replacement is hired. Moore recently assisted Hertz in selecting Lee County for its new global headquarters. Hertz plans to relocate its corporate staff from New Jersey to a new building that will be built in Estero over the next two years.

The website includes instructions on how to apply, a recruitment timeline, a job description and a function that allows the public to submit questions to the candidates.
