VP Economic Development and Urban Initiatives, Beacon Council (Miami, FL):
The position of Vice President, Economic Development & Urban Initiatives will manage The Beacon Council’s Urban Initiatives program, which promotes the redevelopment efforts within targeted urban areas (TUA’s) to become viable employment centers; to develop and implement a marketing plan to generate job creation and new investment opportunities in targeted areas throughout Miami-Dade County. The Vice President will manage the development and implementation of the Urban Initiatives Program Plan, project management and provide support for Miami Dade County’s various Urban development programs, which requires working with individuals at all levels, internally and externally.
Requirements:
• Bachelor’s Degree related to business, economic development, or inner city redevelopment. Masters Degree is not required, but would be a plus.
• Specialized training in Urban Initiatives and/or economic development courses is required.
• Working knowledge and experience dealing with Miami-Dade urban programs is a significant plus.
• Working knowledge and experience in dealing with Miami-Dade urban programs is a significant plus.
