Hall Engineering Group is seeking to hire an electrical engineer/designer. Responsibilities are listed below.
- Design electrical systems for buildings including:
- Normal and emergency power distribution systems
- Lighting systems
- Grounding systems
- Nurse Call systems
- Security/Access Control systems
- CATV/CCTV systems
- Fire Alarm systems
- Develop electrical calculations and CAD drawings
- Write specifications
- Conduct electrical engineering studies
- Perform cost estimating
- Review contractor submittals
- Interface with clients
- Manage projects
- Provide directions to technical personnel such as CAD operators
- Industries include municipal, industrial, commercial, maritime, and healthcare
Ideal candidate will posses:
- Electrical design background is ABSOLUTELY REQUIRED
- AutoCAD or AutoCAD MEP experience; Revit MEP is preferred
- Working knowledge of NEC and local energy codes
- Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering and a minimum of 2 years of relevant experience or equivalent combination of education and experience
- Ability to meet tight deadlines
- Strong oral and written communication skills
- Project Management experience preferred
- Ability to work independently as well as with others to produce desired results with minimal supervision.
- Experience preferred in healthcare and commercial design.
- Experience including power, lighting, telecom, security, and fire alarm systems for both new and existing facilities.
- Experience with lighting design software, energy calculations software, and short circuit calculations software preferred.
