Razor Technical Staffing, a Colorado-based IT & Engineering Staffing agency is seeking an Engineer for its client located in FL.
Job description:
This individual must have an advanced level of outside plant design knowledge and be capable of designing outside plant work orders, providing administrative and field support to the outside plant provisioning process and be familiar with the various communications outside plant engineering concepts, such as copper cable, fiber optic cable and coax cable. Must be able to utilize facility analysis process to select areas for rehabilitation, coordinate field work, preparation of work order drawings and documentation updating work order records in an accurate and timely manner, analysis of reports, providing work order estimated expenditures and/or placement and joint use memos. Must have a knowledge of telephone industry standards, accessing, reading, and interpreting mechanized assignment records, PC applications, OSP record and/or BSTCAD. Knowledge is also required in understanding infrastructure plans (highway, sewer, bridge, etc.) and survey information for the elimination and prevention of conflicts with existing or proposed underground, site obstacles, and for proper installation location within easements and public right of way.
This individual must be knowledgeable with all municipal and governmental requirements for all work. This individual must be capable of securing the necessary field information, record verification, document preparation, data input, preparing work order construction prints, records posting. Must have a complete understanding of outside plant design principles, work order procedures, telephone industry standards and be in compliance with the latest revisions of the National Electric Safety Code, the National Electric Code, RBOC practices and procedures, local and governmental jurisdiction. Must have functional knowledge of PC applications and OSP record and/or computer aided drafting systems.
Compensation: $18-25/hr BOE
