POSITION: Entertainment Manager
STATUS: Full-Time; Exempt

REPORTS TO: Executive Vice President – Entertainment
POSITION CONCEPT: Assist the Executive Vice President – Entertainment in the event booking and promoting process in a fast-paced, dynamic, rapidly-growing organization. This position will also be responsible for preparation and review of contracts and budgets as they relate to the various events for Ruth Eckerd Hall, the Capitol Theatre, and various offsite opportunities.
DUTIES:
Work with the Executive Vice President – Entertainment and other Entertainment Manager to help procure entertainment that attracts all segments of the community to Ruth Eckerd Hall and associated venues.
Maintain close relationships, across the spectrum of live entertainment and performing arts, with theatrical agents, booking agencies, managers, production companies and other presenters and promoters in order to keep informed of current touring information.
Participate in the complete process of event booking. This process includes securing avails, date holds, creating offers, budgets, contract review and preparation, event management and settlement.
Participate in show coverage on a regular basis. This often involves night and weekend events. Act as promoter representative as needed, including but not limited to finalizing settlements with artists.
In conjunction with the Executive Vice President – Entertainment and other Entertainment Manager, negotiate, process and ensure compliance of all contracts and disseminate to appropriate staff members.
Coordinate and maintain daily “flexing and dynamic ticketing pricing” to optimize show profit potential for all shows on the Ruth Eckerd Hall ticketing platform
Recommend and implement opportunities for off-site events (festivals, concerts, etc.) to increase Ruth Eckerd Hall and Ruth Eckerd Hall on the Road visibility.
Coordinate auditorium availability with Rental Coordinator.
Develop, administer, implement and maintain programming budgets as well as manage show budget information and distribute information to appropriate staff members.
Cultivate and participate in appropriate opportunities for informing the industry, local civic and community groups as well as trade publications of Ruth Eckerd Hall’s branding and events.
Provide input to marketing staff for purposes of maximizing Ruth Eckerd Hall’s visibility, presence, sponsorships, and promotions.
Disseminate event information through various media: Serve as one of the point staff for the facility calendar, including maintenance of calendar database, etc.
Using source documents, create show confirmations and update event history in format readily available for appropriate staff and industry requests.
Keep accurate records of all programming events – including wrap-up and show finals.
Professionally represent Ruth Eckerd Hall at all times.
Complete all other duties as assigned.
QUALIFICATIONS:
Education:
• Two-year college degree or equivalent experience required.
Experiences:
• Two to Three years of experience in national entertainment event booking required.
