OVERVIEW
As our project manager, your job will be to coordinate people and processes to ensure that our projects are delivered on time and produce the desired results. You will be the go-to person for everything involving a project’s organization and timeline. You’re responsible for providing technical project planning, management and oversight for key initiatives and implementation projects, ensuring first that these initiatives and projects are closely aligned with Chadwell Supply’s strategic priorities.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
- Minimum of 5+ years of project management experience.
- PMP Certification preferred, not required.
- Demonstrated understanding of Project Management processes, strategies and methods.
- Experience using Microsoft Teams, DevOps and Planner to manage workflow.
- Demonstrated understanding of Agile principles and their application.
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- Leads a cross-functional team to achieve project requirements, deadlines, and schedules.
- Holds regular technical team meetings to determine progress and address any questions or challenges.
- Ensures that realistic project plans are maintained and ensures regular and accurate communication to stakeholders, consistent with the methods in use. (Agile, waterfall, etc.).
- Coordinates the development of documentation to enable implementation and turnover of the project.
- Determines and defines clear deliverables, milestones, roles and responsibilities for staff members required for specific projects or initiatives.
- Uses Microsoft DevOps, Planner, and Microsoft Teams to ensure all parties are informed of project status.
- Creates testing plans and coordinates them with the technical team to ensure the tasks are completed according to the project schedule.
- Escalates any project issues, including schedule, budget, resources, scope, and more to upper management in a timely manner.
- Update job knowledge by studying state of the art/industry-relevant tools, techniques, and equipment; participating in educational opportunities; reading professional publications; maintaining personal networks; participating in professional organizations.
- IT Recognized as a Strategic Asset by Leaders Within the Company.
- Receives a minimum of 40 hours a year in classroom or online skills training.
- Minimize Contracted support, and higher-level IT staff, for Server and Database administration.
- Support coverage is primarily by telephone and email, using remote support tools. Very occasional travel may be required.
