Job Description
Associa is looking for a full time Escrow / Resale Specialist on our estoppel team for our Saint Petersburg, FL office.
The Escrow / Resale Specialist is responsible for all of the opening, closing, and maintenance of escrow accounts including document creation. This involves monitoring, preparing and delivery of HOA document packages. Individuals in this position may interact with escrow customers, title companies and lending professionals. The day-to-day responsibilities of the Escrow / Resale Specialist centers around managing our online ordering site. This typically involve opening escrow orders, review and verification of final and closing documents, preparing customer billing statements and answering escalated questions regarding billings. Additionally this position is responsible for escrow logs, reports, and other files.
Communicate requirements and other information to clients including title exceptions.
Prepare and review documents for closing and handle the disbursement and follow up of all escrow transactions.
Open orders, input closing statements from a worksheet prepared by escrow officers.
Interpret earnest money agreements as they relate to closing and prepare all documents required for transactions.
Acquire all information needed to prepare required documents and escrow instructions from all parties.
Request Inspection reports.
Submit Buyer(s) for Membership Approval.
Balance escrow file.
Draft checks and closing statements.
Other duties as assigned. Qualifications
Knowledge and Skills
Must have knowledge of GAAP (Generally Accepted Accounting Principals)
Must be able to review a GL to understand payments, adjustments, debits, credits, etc…
Knowledge of Microsoft Office products (Word, Excel, Outlook, etc.) at a proficient level.
Professional communication skills (phone, interpersonal, written, verbal, etc.).
Professional customer service skills.
Knowledge of typical business correspondence (grammar, structure, punctuation, spelling, etc.) at a proficient level.
Interpretation and completion of verbal and/or written instructions at a proficient level.
Knowledge of general office equipment (copier, fax, phone systems, etc.).
Knowledge of company policies, procedures and forms.
Confidentiality and discretion in the performance of all duties and responsibilities.
Time management and time critical prioritization skills.
Education and Experience
3 – 5 years of directly related or closely related accounting experience
Associates degree required; Bachelor’s degree preferred
