Estimator/ Project Manager
We are a rapidly growing commercial concrete company located and based in Tampa Bay. We have been in business since early 2019 and continue to experience growth year after year. Our portfolio includes bars, restaurants, office buildings, breweries, and many other project types.
We are looking for an individual that has an entrepreneurial way of thinking. The ideal candidate is a self-starter and self-motivator who can aggressively approach all new project opportunities to help grow the business. We are looking for a candidate who is interested in building a long term career at our company.
This position is responsible for estimating, bidding, and managing new projects; completing takeoff using estimating software Planswift; creating proposal and submittal to client; handling direct communication between clients and vendors; other ad hoc responsibilities as required. Once the project is sold, project management and some field management will be required to ensure project runs smoothly.
Requirements:
· A strong understanding of methods used in concrete forming, reinforcement, finishing
· A strong understanding of methods used in masonry layout, installation, reinforcement
· Ability to estimate electronically from construction drawings
· Proficient in Planswift, Onscreen Takeoff, or other estimating software
· Proficient in Microsoft Excel, Word
· Excellent communication skills
· Ability to work efficiently and effectively, while remaining detail oriented
Preferred Experience:
· Structural, Architectural, and Civil drawing experience
· Project Management
· Field Management
· Sales in construction
· Ability to build and maintain client relationships
· Experience with Google and Acrobat PDF
· Existing relationships with local Tampa Bay commercial construction contractors
Office hours are Monday through Friday from 8 am to 5pm. We are willing to accommodate a flexible schedule upon request. This is a remote position. Candidate will be working from home, visiting project job sites, visiting new customers, attending various marketing events, etc. Marketing events may be after normal working hours.
This is a commission based opportunity with a base salary. Daily new project leads will be provided.
