Event and Marketing Coordinator/Manager
Job Summary:
-The event and marketing coordinator will meet with potential clients, give site tours in order to secure contracts and execute events to ensure clients experience is smooth.
-In addition, the event and marketing coordinator will develop and and implement online marketing programs to drive traffic and increase sales for the venue.
Duties/Responsibilities:

  • Provides leadership to venue team and professionally represents the company at all functions
  • Consults with staff to understand goals and scope of desired event
  • Consults with clients and coordinates with staff to plan and develop event schedule and timeline up to day of event as well as create and manage a day-of event timeline
  • Process and follow-up on leads and follow through with all potential clients
  • Drafts contracts and maintains an organized office
  • Build and execute social media strategies to attract customers to the company’s brand through various web-based marketing programs and search engine optimization (SEO) techniques
  • Creatively generate posts on Facebook, Instagram as well as updating website content
  • Maintains current knowledge of online marketing opportunities and trends, web analytics, SEO technology
  • Performs other related duties as assigned

Required Skills/Abilities:

  • Excellent verbal, written, interpersonal and customer service skills
  • Excellent organizational skills and meticulous attention to detail
  • Excellent time management skills
  • Ability to respond to problems confidently and to assist clients with a calm, courteous and helpful manner
  • Thorough understanding of internet marketing and general marketing strategies
  • Knowledge of social media platforms
  • Ability to multitask and meet deadlines

Education/Experience:

  • Degree in Hospitality, Communication, Business Marketing or related field (Preferred)
  • At least 2 years in event planning, customer service, marketing or previous proven marketing experience.
  • At least 1 year in event planning for weddings
