Franklin Street is currently seeking an Event & Marketing Operations Assistant for the Retail Property Management team. Successful candidates will be those that have experience in event planning for a popular Tampa destination. The Event & Marketing Operations Assistant will be responsible for assisting the Marketing & Events Manager in the execution of events, coordination of marketing materials and ensure the optimal attendee experience.

Accountable For:

• Assist with event planning, design and production; including but not limited to hosting site tours, creating and executing event site plans and overseeing event itineraries and logistics.

• Assist with event vendor communication and coordination; including vendor paperwork, set-up and break-down and ensuring vendors comply with facility rules and safety standards.

• Assist with on-site management and execution of events to ensure the optimal event attendee experience; including but not limited to being on-site during the event to address any host and/or attendee concerns and to ensure that event execution properly aligns with brand standards.

• Work closely with the Marketing and Events Manager on the coordination of marketing materials for public relations, marketing, advertising and sponsorship campaigns.

• Assist in tracking public relations, marketing, advertising and sponsorship campaigns.

• Work closely with the Marketing and Events Manager to manage information and marketing collateral on website and social media.

• Assist in the execution and tracking of e-mail marketing and social media campaigns.

• Work closely with the Marketing and Events Manager on special projects, presentations and reports; including but not limited to identifying industry trends and key opportunities for innovation.

• Assist General Manager with property administration duties such as accounts payable, accounts receivable, document compliance, data entry, answering phones, email correspondence, filing, budget analysis, lease administration, and financial reporting.

• Serves as a point of contact and resource for all audio/video related installation, set-up, maintenance and activation at the facility. This includes routine daily programming and special events.

• Works on special projects, events, social media platform and performs additional job duties as requested.

• Must be available to work a flexible schedule, including evenings, weekends and holidays, and can be available to assist in emergency situations that may involve traveling to the work site and/or being available by phone.

Requirements

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities

• A minimum of 2 years of related work experience.

• Social Media competences.

• Professional business level communication skills including the ability to read, write, and comprehend the English language at a fluent and professional level.

• Bilingual – Spanish a plus.

• Proven record of excellent internal and external customer service.

Educational/Technical

• High School diploma or GED equivalent required.

• Working proficiency in computer skills including MS Office Suite (Excel, Word, Outlook) and internet or application software is required along with a willingness and ability to learn new software programs.  Proficiency with standard office equipment required.

• Must maintain a valid driver’s license.
