Tarantino Properties is seeking an Executive Director to serve as the community leader and manage the overall operations of their Independent & Assisted living community located in Largo, FL.
This position is responsible for ensuring a warm, compassionate and secure atmosphere for all residents & staff while maintaining a profitable operation.
Responsibilities:
- Oversee all operations at the community
- Interact with residents and families to build relationships
- Oversee management of all associates including recruiting, training, discipline, and coaching
- Responsible for details of operations including housekeeping, culinary, activities, etc.
- Report to VP of Senior Living & Regional Director of Operations with assigned reports
- Work with Sales and Marketing Director to ensure high occupancy
- Develop and maintain budget, ensuring all departments operate within the budget
- Overall maintenance of the community including culture, experience, and building maintenance
- Hold meetings with staff, directors, residents, and resident families
- On call 24 hours a day for emergency/crisis situations
- Manages budget and cash flow, maintains budget accountability, aggressively anticipates and minimizes negative budget variances and deficits
- Hires, trains, disciplines and terminates managerial employees in accordance with human resources policy
- Maintains all local, state, and federal licenses
- Maintains superior training for staff, ensuring that training programs are effectively executed
- Creates an environment for pride and quality among all staff, encouraging them to their highest potential
- Keeps up-to-date with information about competitors
- Strives to maintain a safe working environment through the prevention of accidents, the preservation of equipment, and the achievement of safe working practices
Skills/Requirements:
- 3 or more years’ previous experience as an Executive Director in the senior housing industry (IL, AL, MC or LTC)
- Strong verbal and written communication skills
- Advanced computer and Microsoft Office experience with ability to create reports and analyze operational issues
- A desire to work with senior adults
- Ability to solve complex operational and people problems
- Must be available after regular working hours and work weekends and holidays as necessary
